I’m Stephanie Rasmuson—a journalist, photographer, traveler, and Christian who believes every person carries a story worthy of being thoughtfully told.
My love for storytelling began through journalism, where I learned to look beyond the surface, notice the details others might overlook, and approach every person with genuine curiosity. What began as a creative elective in college quickly became a lasting passion, and for the past five years, photography has given me another way to preserve the stories unfolding around me.
Having grown up overseas in Saudi Arabia because of my father’s work, I was introduced early to different cultures, traditions, and ways of seeing the world. That experience continues to shape both who I am and how I create. I welcome every culture, creative vision, and meaningful idea to the table, approaching each celebration with openness, respect, and an appreciation for what makes every story distinct.
My work is guided by faith, strengthened by my background in journalism, and inspired by honest human connection. I am drawn to timeless portraits, quiet exchanges, joyful moments that reveal the heart of a relationship. Rather than forcing a day into a predetermined mold, I offer thoughtful direction while leaving room for the laughter, emotion, and unexpected beauty that make it entirely your own.
For me, photography is more than creating beautiful images. It is the privilege of witnessing what matters most and preserving it with intention. Whether I am documenting a wedding, a family, or an individual portrait, my purpose remains the same: to tell your story with honesty, artistry, and care—and to create photographs that will continue to hold meaning long after the moment has passed.
